You know… it wouldn’t surprise me if future generations of smartphones actually had the ability to prepare food.
Think about it: The modern smartphone is already a multi-tool which includes all sorts of functionality. Imagine if the years ahead saw the evolution of microwaveable meals, with an advanced version of that same multi-tool serving as the power source for a heating element.
You could simply touch your device to the appropriate place on the packaging (which would be designated by a universally recognizable icon), and it would transfer a portion of its charge to an internal coil. An associated application could even detect the variety of food that you were trying to prepare, then inform you that an update is required before you can have lunch.
